From the early history of cabinets of curiosities displaying preserved specimens, to the use of horror during the Spanish Renaissance, to staged photoshoots of deceased family members, join us to learn about the history of artists and art movements that utilized the human form in dark and macabre ways. Enjoy mocktails & snacks while learning and making with us.
This workshop begins with a presentation sharing the different ways that death and human preservation played a role in early art history, followed by making your own mixed media shadowbox art pieces using collage, paint and various other materials.
Art materials will be provided but feel free to bring in anything you would want to include in your shadowboxes.
SOLD OUT. THANK YOU!
