Coquitlam Heritage preserves, honours, and promotes the heritage of Coquitlam.

We collect stories and objects that hold history and represent who has lived in Coquitlam and who chooses to live here today. We celebrate our community member's traditions, experiences, and festivities, while holding space to remember and honour their tragedies and challenges. This is done through our exhibits both at Mackin House, a 1910 heritage home which is our current operational base, and out in the community and through programmes, workshops, and community events.

Heritage is a shared experience that invites participation and practice, interest and contributions, curiosity, creativity, honouring, celebration, remembrance, relationships, and enjoyment.

Join us in our mission to preserve, promote and honour the history of Coquitlam.

Coquitlam Heritage hosts such a wide range of engaging events at Mackin House that I want to attend everything! The speakers, displays, heritage crafts, story times, living-room concerts, holiday feasts and more wonderfully showcase our city’s multi-cultural heritage. I learn something new every time.
