Celebrate Black History Month at Mackin House through food, stories, music, books, and art. Come join our Black History Month event on February 24 and learn about heritage through food demos and arts and crafts, view Black History books from the Coquitlam Public Library, view our displays, learn about community and mental health mindfulness, and attend our storytelling session where our performer will take the audience on an interactive journey through traditional African storytelling interlaced with beautiful folk songs.

At the event, Holistic Health Coach and Founder of The Mental & Physical Coaching Experience (MPE), Haeley Williams will be facilitating a free workshop on “Mind-Body Evolution.” Drawing from her book, the workshop will include readings, a limiting beliefs and positive affirmations worksheet activity, and light somatic movement with breathwork, all aimed to help you better connect with your mind and body.
